Should I start studying for my CPA exam or do my masters?
I graduated with my Bachelors in Accounting in 2007. I have worked as an Accountant since then. I want to improve my skills and get a better job. Should I go to grad school, or should I buy a CPA book and start studying for my CPA exam? I have learned a lot from being an accountant, and what would be more beneficial for me? Would I be able to take my CPA exam (and understand its information) without doing my masters?
I do believe you need a certain number of graduate credits to be eligible to write the exam. Depends on the state, but I’ve heard up to 30 credits. best check the state you plan to practice in.
I would go CPA over Masters in accountancy - CPA allows you to practice and to sign off on audits, etc. Masters is good for a long-term career, but for now, CPA would be the better bet. and yes, you would be able to understand the information without doing a masters.
you may also consider doing the CMA - less known but it’s probably easier to get. always nice to get more letters behind your name

What is the most effective offline promotional technique in assisting an online PPC search campaign?
Of course it depends on the amount of money you are willing to throw into a branding campaign, but which offline promotional channel (print, TV, radio) is most effective in driving consumers online and acquiring new customers? Are there any resources out there that may have covered some of the same ground before?
Promotional Product advertising has shown to be extremely effective, more so than any other promotional channel. People who receive promotional products are receiving a tangible item that stands on its own. In most cases, these products are considered useful items (pens, calendars, drinkware) and are used by the recipient. Research by the Promotional Product Association International (PPAI) shows that 76% of people who recieved a promotional product within the past 12 months could recall the advertisers name. Only 53% could recall an advertiser that they had seen in a newspaper or magazine.
How can I view IE only websites on my PPC Mac?
I have run across a few websites (one’s my bank) that ONLY work under Internet Explorer. I know of a workaround for Intel Apple machines, but I have a G4 PPC iBook. None of the Mac browsers I know of will work (Safari, Firefox, Opera, or Camino) for these websites. Any suggestions will be most welcome. Thanks.

How difficult is it to pass the ethic exam to qualified for CPA license in CA?
I have learned that candidates, after passing all four parts of the CPA exam, needs to pass ethic exam to apply for licensure.
The ethics exam is not difficult at all. You will order the exam/class through the AICPA. I used the CD version. If you sit through the actual lecture/class it will be quite lengthy to go back and find all of the answers. My suggestion is that you open the test at the same time as the lecture. The test pretty much follows the class in order of questions.
You can submit your answers immediately online and know if you passed or not. No waiting! The AICPA will then pass this on to your state board of accountancy so that you can become lisenced.
Don’t sweat it, this is the easy part!

Why do crossover programs not work on PPC macs?
I have a PPC mac and I want to know why crossover programs like Bootcamp don’t work on PPC macs.
Microsoft Windows is written specifically to run on CPUs that use the x86 instruction sets (i.e. Intel and AMD processors).
Motorola’s PowerPC processors do not use the x86 instruction sets so it cannot run Windows natively. That is why you can’t use Bootcamp on PPC Macs.
The only way you can run Microsoft Windows on a PPC Mac would be to use an emulation program such as VirtualPC, which translates the Windows’ x86 language to the RISC language that the PowerPC CPU can understand. This added translation layer makes it very slow however.
