What is the most effective offline promotional technique in assisting an online PPC search campaign?

Of course it depends on the amount of money you are willing to throw into a branding campaign, but which offline promotional channel (print, TV, radio) is most effective in driving consumers online and acquiring new customers? Are there any resources out there that may have covered some of the same ground before?

Promotional Product advertising has shown to be extremely effective, more so than any other promotional channel. People who receive promotional products are receiving a tangible item that stands on its own. In most cases, these products are considered useful items (pens, calendars, drinkware) and are used by the recipient. Research by the Promotional Product Association International (PPAI) shows that 76% of people who recieved a promotional product within the past 12 months could recall the advertisers name. Only 53% could recall an advertiser that they had seen in a newspaper or magazine.

Well I can not say what is the most effective for your business, but what has been most effective for mine and most other businesses that try it is print advertising.

However, I mean print advertising where you get your printing and distribution done for you free! Imagine businesses paying for and distributing your ads by the thousands daily… and they’re happy to do it over and over again.

One of my home based business is as a print broker. Businesses order their printing need through me, and I get paid for taking their orders and sending them off to my printers.

In the print business we have what is known as co-op printing service. that is where you offer one business a discount on their printing when they allow you to print a non-competing offer or ad on the back of theirs.

So, businesses order printing through me, I get paid, give them a discount, my ads or offers are printed on the back side of their flyers or circulars. My offers and ads are distributed freely along with theirs, and everyone is happy.

For instance, a barber shop may want 1,000 flyers or circulars printed. I give them a discount and have my flyer printed on the back of theirs offering my online downloadable ebook about preventing hair loss. The barber shop gets a 20% discount on their printing order, which I still make money from… they distribute the 1,000 flyers along with my offer on back, and the orders rool in without any effort on my part.

Just something to think about and give you an idea you may have never thought of before to make money while getting free advertising. It costs less than 50 bucks to start a print broker business, and you can be set for life.

Hope this has helped in some way, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions of would like further assistance.
